Is it possible that a motion sensor detects tampering when it's not happening?

rojasmusic

Question

Hi everyone. I wanted to asked if this happened before to any of you. We have a few HCL installed in airbnbs, with motion sensors. This, to cut the power off after 5min the guests are gone. The thing is that we got a few notificaciones a few nights ago that the sensor was being tampered with, but the guests totally declines to accept he was tampering with it.

So the question is: Is it possible that this guy is saying the truth and he really didn't tamper with it? We've had the sensor installed for 2 months now and every time we got notifications it was because someone was checking if it was a hidden camera.

I have one motion sensor in a guest room and when tempering alarm goes its a person who tuch the sensor.

If room is not occupied I never have had tamper alarm.

Even door smash may trigger tamper in those, accelerometer in those are pretty good and sensitive.
You can try lowering a bit sensitivity using device parameters.
