Speech recognition and text to speech (like google assistant)

merylion

Question

Hello,

I am looking for device which will be able to work with fibaro.

What I would like to get is whenever any text is recognized is being send to Fibaro somehow (maybe HTTP POST as trigger to global variable)

Also whenever I would like Fibaro to say something to be able to send text to such a device which will tell it aloud.

Some years ago I was using Tasker but was not working vwey well.

Preferably I would like to use Polish language

Hi @merylion

There are several methods to do this but I have long used a Tablet in the hall that reads out TTS messages.
My wife loves this, and messages like "The washer is ready" or "The dryer is ready" means she does not have to run to the laundry room unnecessarily.
It works so that all text written to the global variable TTS will be read out in the hall.

  • Good.

    I will try it tomorrow.

Also wondering if it can work opposite. I mean whenever something has been told to tablet this text is being written to global variable.

    Anyone knows such solution?
