Automatic UnderFloor Heating Control

I've just finished installing the underfloor heating system together with programming the whole system and have prepared something like this.

Let me know what you think and if it's clear to you and what you would add/change - I'm interested in your opinion.

Below I am explaining what each data presents:

Main panel

  1. Time of the last start of the floor controller (I start it every 5 minutes)
  2. Temperature of input and output in the system
  3. Temperature loss input vs output and what does it look like in percentage
  4. Inertia for the whole building: how long does it take to increase/decrease the temperature by one degree taking into account the current weather and the last cycle of the controller
  5. Summary of operation of all devices:
    • Does the stove have permission to heat water
    • Are the pumps working and how much power do they consume?
    • Whether the controller is working and how much power is being consumed by all the actuators that are on
  6. Summary of all zones:
    • red indicates current heating
    • Blue indicates active cooling

Panel for each zone:

  1. Zone number (refer to item 6 from the Main Panel)
  2. Summary of zone operation:
    • in which mode it operates (schedule or manual setting)
    • temperature set by the thermostat (set manually or from the schedule - Climate panel)
    • hysteresis value for the zone
    • duration of current cycle
    • estimated percentage of current cycle duration
    • temperature remaining until the end of the cycle
    • estimated cycle duration based on room inertia
    • estimated percentage that is left until the end of the cycle
  3. Information about what floor and room it is
  4. Current room temperature
  5. Information about the inertia of the room: how much time will it take to raise/lower the temperature by one degree, taking into account the current weather and the last operating cycle of the controller
  6. Schedule as defined in the climate panel 7.
  7. History of last two operation cycles (based on them I count inertia)

  • Hi All,

I added one additional information about the current temperature and weather condition as icon.

If somebody would like to use this solution or build similar just let me know. I'm curious what it will be working in your installation.

    Hi!

Nice work! I can ask what hardware devices have been put together, such as a thermostat, etc.

Thank you, have a nice day

omg looks amazing. Why doesn't this come with Fibaro as a standard? It seems impossible to manage something like this on our own.. for most people.

    Hi Tomasz

Greetings from Australia. I would like to try using this application please. You have developed a clever solution.
