Dimmer 2 - frequent parameter changes (param 19) an issue?

sjstrobl

Question

Hi.

I'm using dimmer 2 in combination with a motion sensor.

I use Param 19 to set a defined (low) brightness at startup to ensure that when I turn on the light at night I'm not blended.

I'm now considering to reset Param 19 twice a day to change the startup brightness to a lower value at night and higher value during the day.

Is there any issue with memory wear when changing parameters so frequently?

Thanks

Stefan

  • Anyone experienced long term issues with rewriting parameters frequently?

Does anyone know anything about how the Fibaro devices stores the parameters - do they use Flash or classical EEPROM memory?

    Thanks Stefan

  • Hi tinman,

thanks for your answer. I'm not quite sure though to understand the relevance.

I have no issue with flickering, just want to understand if there's an issue with rewriting parameters frequently...

    Thanks Stefan
