Aeotec Zwave Device

Hi,

I'm new with this Fibaro Gateway.

We're using Fibaro Home Centre 3 Software Version: 5.080.20

I'm trying to add/pair Aeotec TriSensor and having issue. Seems its not adding the device properly.
Its showing Light Sensor, Temperature Sensor and Light Sensor.

The Motion Sensor is missing and this issue is happening with all of our Aeotec TriSensor but for other Sensor its fine like Aeotec MultiSensor 6.

Aeotec TriSensor is updated via OTA also did the "reconfigure device" under "Device Configuration" tab but still the same result.

Also there is a software update for the gateway (Version: 5.100.22) is this version safe? Does anyone having issue when they update to this version?

Is there anyone here using the same device or same result after adding the device.

Will be very much appreciate for your help.

Thank you so much.

looks like that you battery is empty.

Iam running 5.100.22 and still running smooth.

I don't have the same sensor but I find it strange that it shows 2 light sensors, should be motion

I use the MultiSensor 7 from Aeotec and know that you have the put de parameters in yourself, see link below.

Try to exclude the device and then include the device.

Perhaps my info is old.

I had problems with adding AEOTEC tri sensor too, having 6 pieces.

The issue was a newer version of the sensor I cant recall exactly but the working ones had a W in the serial I believe.

In my case the move detection stayed active.

Sometimes it will help to change with batery or USB power or stick another batery in and include again.

BTW I did not add any parameter by myself

Succes

  • @edwink023,

Sir, regarding with battery I already use new batteries and try to add the device but still showing the same result.
We also have Aeotec MultiSensor I try to add this device and it showed properly.
Only having issue with this Aeotec TriSensor.
Updating the gateway to version 5.100.22 might resolved this issue?
Have you encountered any issue with this version?

    Thank you.

    @Sjakie,

We also have the same 6 pcs of TriSensor some are updated and some are not. but all of them is showing the same issue.
Already tried to change the batteries with new ones but still the same.
    Thank you.

    Jred24,

I have zero issues with the new firmware, but then again iam not (yet) a power user, i have like 12 z-wave items.

I would say make a backup in the cloud or on de hc3 it self an try the new firmware, if you have problems you can always go back.

There is something in the parameters about battery status, but its a while sinds i took a look in them.

Hope you get this sorted out soon because it's quite frustrating these kind of things

No I have at the moment 3 Aeotec MultiSensor 7's, but more are on the way.

i have them al now usb powered and I have zero issues, even with the battery I had little trouble with them.

do you know witch z-wave engine you use( 2.0 or 3.0) maybe there is the bottleneck.

If I recall correctly you can see a tab called smart next to the main tab, when you go to settings>general you can see it in the top of the screen, if that is there you are on the 3.0 z-wave engine .

I don't think this will fix the problem, but then again I also don't know what is.

did you try the update 5.100.22?

  • Hi,

Update of software version to 5.100.22 solved the issue.
Sensors are paired and working properly.

    Thank you for your time.
