Serious problem

Neo Andersson

Question

Hi guys

We have encountered a serious problem while installing Danalock ZWave doorlocks.

So far we never had any oreder where our customer would ask for more than one Danalocks in the house.

Now we got even two orders, where customers require 2 or more door locks in the house.

So we did everything as we used to do. We included locks into system. However, customer wanted me to have linked all two doors to one button, that he will be able to controll open/close them with 1 button. It seemed to me as a very easy task. I have created a QA that calls both locks and openes/closes them as desired.

The problem is, when this code is called on a button press, many times only on 1 door is the action performed.

Both door locks work if they are accessed separatelly, but for some inexplicable reason, this way they don't work. We have tried all well-known procedures to fix this. Excluded/re-Included devices, checked all the settings avaliable, but no help at all.

It seems that only one fibaro call is getting to the devices, or if by chance both of them work, then the device doesn't change the status.

We are absolutelly clueless..

Is there anyone who can give us some hint, what can be the reason?

Thanks a lot ahead

You said they work if you call then separately. What I would try is putting a delay of 10 seconds between calling each lock, in case there is a clash of zwave messages on your network.

    Hi,

try to send secure/unsecure command at least two times with some delay (3sec) for the same lock.

    E.g.

  • We have tried with delays and with double callings. It is somewhat better. Kinda 70% of times working. There must be some bug for 100%. If we have more Danalocks we often see a message in HC3 that "Tranfer failed", when

we are sending some command. After some more attempts the command is transferred. Very annoying and dangerous,  because this is a lock.
