Variable toggle from switch

dcc186

Question

Hi All,

I have just upgraded to a HC3 (Im not sure it is an upgrade just yet as so many things not working... but I was wondering if someone can point as to why this isnt working.

Essentially I have a relay switch that opens/closes a gate/door. When the swtich runs I want a variable to switch so I can see door status (in lieu of a sensor)..

This used to work perfectly, but now I am having issues trying to get it to work in HC3

Conditions

{
  conditions = { {
      isTrigger = false,
      operator = "==",
      property = "Gate_status",
      type = "global-variable",
      value = "1"
    } },
  operator = "all"
}

Actions

local variable = hub.getGlobalVariable('Gate_status')

if (variable = '0'then hub.setGlobalVariable('Gate_status''1'end

if (variable = '1'then hub.setGlobalVariable('Gate_status''0'end

Thanks in advance..

As I understand you want to trigger the scene when global variable changes to "1"....

So this is your trigger and should be

isTrigger = true

  • Thanks Cag,

    Sorry _ I had the wrong trigger code in the post. The actual code I am trying to use is below. The trigger is the turning on of a relay (which is a zero potential, auto off relay)

      conditions = { {
          id = 235,
          isTrigger = true,
          operator = "==",
          property = "state",
          type = "device",
          value = true
        } },
      operator = "all"

    Also the error I am getting is :

    (load):3: ')' expected near '='

    but I cant see it?
