MCO Home MH7H-WH Thermostat state Idle

colhemm

Question

Hi

I've recently installed the MCO Home MH7H-WH water heater and thermostat into HC3, everything went very smoothly but I cannot see the room temperature settings, it just reads "Thermostat state Idle"

is it possible to activate the thermostat and displayed in HC3.

Hi @colhemm,

Idle state should be signalization, that Thermostat does not heat. Then you have devider line barely visible and modes and "room temperature settings". Thermostat has a setpoint (desired room temperature) for each of its modes. That is the setting a "user" should have. The one that did the installation (admin) can set addional settings in Parameters. Regarding measured temperature, for that should be visible additional "device" that shows measured temperature. Same with Humidity.

  • Hi jakub.jezek

    Sorry but I do not understand your response, when I had the MCO Home MH7H-WH installed on my old Vera Edge hub it clearly displayed the room temperature so I know the room thermostat works, how can I get it to display in the HC3.

    Hi @colhemm,

    i probably got confused. So, room thermostat does not show measured temperature. You have different slave device for it.

    @colhemm

    I have a MH7H-EH thermostat for electric heating. The installation was successful immediately and also subordinated to the device. One of them shows the temperature. I believe that even your version will show the temperature as well - on its own slave device. See if you have hidden devices turned off, then show them. Maybe the thermostat temperature is set as hidden.
    You can certainly list the device through Swager and check the list to see if the temperature exists.
