New RGBIC led strip and Fibaro HC3

Fullfree

Question

Hello everyone:

I have a question, anyone know if it’s possible to control the new led strips RGBIC (addressable led) with my Fibaro  HC3?

This leds normally have PWM, DMX, SPI control, it’s any way to made this technology full compatible with Fibaro?

Thanks in advance.

Firstly you would need a driving device, and the Fibaro RGBW device does not support individually addressable strips. Then you would need a custom LUA script, and I haven't seen one posted here.

You can solve this with an Arduino as the driving device, and this could receive commands from a Quick App.

If there is another way, keen to hear from someone else...

If that RGBIC is WS2812B or WS2811 then Blebox has device to controll it. @tinman, I think you have or had a Fibaro Quick App for it, don't you?

yes i wrote one, the QuickApp act as RGBW controller, additionally one can run pixelbox Programs from Yubii App/BUI by clicking of Fibaro RGBW programs (so when clicked on program 1, the pixelbox program 1 will get started ...). Our website with QuickApps is down and not yet mirated to FIBARO Marketplace, but of curse i can send the QuickApp via PM.
