Question

Hi, For the purpose of controlling my electric garage door from closing on my car if not parked properly, i would like to set a laser or a photoelectric beam near the garage door so that if the beam is broken (the car is not safely parked) it will prevent my garage door from closing down (my garage door motor is controlled by Fibaro switch and closes automatically as per certain program). I was thinking of buying the beam in the attached link and connect it to a Universal Binary Sensor so it is part of the program conditions. Im not an electrician and not clear if this is possible and what is the requested configuration of the connections/ wiring of such a system. Many thanks for any response!
