Activating lighting by a magnetic switch to gate at night

Bechor

Question

Hi ..

It is possible to connect a magnet sensor to an entrance gate, which will be connected directly to the switch  (Double Switch 2, 2x1,5kw, FGS-223)  instead of the ignition button, then when the gate opens the light will turn on for a minute ?

problem

1. When the gate is closed within the time frame of the minute, the light will not turn off.

2. That the scene should only run after sunset.

3. During the day when there is sunlight, the lighting will not turn on / or turn on for only seconds and trun off if it inpossible.

I have been trying for days without success, I would appreciate any help, thank you very much!!

1 Magnet Sensor - when triggered (NO) - connects its inputs. In your case it connects S1 with S2. This wont work. You should connect S1 with L to see the state change on the device. Or S2 with L.

2 When you connect S1/S2 and L to your magnetic sensor - you will probably burn the sensor. This is because most of them are not designed to use power line (which is L from 230VAC) as an input, most of them uses 24VDC/VAC potential as an input.

Double Switch from Fibaro wont work for you to see the state change of the magnetic sensor.

    Thank you @Piotr !

Exactly, the connection was made as you wrote, and connected of course with 24V for fibaro model  and it is connected to 24v to 220V relay for the benefit of the lighting.

Somehow, the shutdown scene worked and the light went off after 2 seconds (it is not clear if it is possible for it not to work at all at the day mode) ..

I will check in the evening whether the shutdown will take place after 60 seconds .. I am not sure that I have written the scene correctly yet .

    Thank you again friend !
