How do I force unpair/reset/factory reset my Fibaro Relay switches FGS211, FGS221 or FGD211 etc. when my controller with which they were paired is damaged or unavailable.  I was using VERA EDGE earlier

  • To add to my original post: I have omitted to mention that I have already tried both recommended methods to unpair  Fibaro Switches (viz) 1. Press and hold the B button for 3 secs after removing all load connections but connected to mains.

    2. Press the Toggle switch connected to S1 6 times ON & OFF.

The above did not help resetting the device nor uninstall it from its previous association.

Is there any other method to unpair or Factory Reset the above Fibrao devices.

  • Yes I tried to pair with the same Vera Edge controller which had to be reset to factory defaults. Now it is as good as a new controller with all settings erased.

You can use every Zwave controller to reset a Zwave device.

Just click on your new or by factory reset controller on the remove button.

Then tripple click the B-button of your Zwave device.

Your device will bes set back to defauly settings.

Then you can add this device to your controller as usual.

I may be an effect of not-being-properly-reset device but also not being able to pair due to distance...

Be close to the controller when paring.

However, when trying to reset I would recommend:

    1. keep the button longer than 3 seconds
    2. do not connect anything to S1/S2/Q1/Q2
