At first I am not an electrician so take care!

I have no idea if a dimmer for light will be able to do the same on a motor but if they on tweekers discus it could work

If you have only 3 speeds a dimmer must be connected on the highest speed.

To see if this dimmer will operate on HC3 you should check the list.

Ok, i have 3 speeds and a timed function. 1 2 3 - 15mins speed 4. But they are also talking about

a stepless function with that dimmer....i'll ask there :)  thanks

Manual switch 0-1-2-3 will select on fan resistance high, medium or low. You can compare with 4 lane highway.

4 way lane with one exit means 3 lanes passing

two exits means 2 lanes passing

three exits means 1 lane passes

Stepless will be a kind of road narrowing

I hope it will make the proces a bit more clear for you?

Stepless you get from dimmer. It will replace your 1-2-3 and 4

If your speed 4 is the highest you should connect the dimmer on 4

 Yes thanks :)

I also found a connection diagram.  And the quibino seems to work with the HC3

Next for me is to understand the diagram a bit more :)

I Think again I am not  Electricien:

You need 10V for the dimmer and a resistance R=100kilo Ohm or is it together with the Quinino?

The wires in the red circle you need to connect on the connection just above your "BUVA"

than it should work? This connection is made for external operating?

I think

it takes the + and - (GND) from the buva (dark green and red) for powering the quibino

- GND (lightgreen) combines at the buva together with the 0 to 10v output from the qubino.

So, actually it is the same way connected as the image i posted before with the zigbee solution.

But now it takes the 12v from the buva, so there is no external adaptor needed.

I think this connection is there, for addons to the unit. Like moisture measurement and stuff.

So, this sort of works as a PWM controller, not sure what will happen when the speed is

set through RF. But maybe it will override as long as it is higher then the RF setting....uhmm

Complex stuff, maybe i just need to try it out :)

[edit] Orderd the quibino, lets see how this works out the coming week :)

hahaha, I don't think anything will happen.

Because on the print is a possibility for external operating, should work both I think.

Hehe I did't expect something else!

RF and HC3 are operating together your fan?

Not really, the setting that i set with the remote. Makes it the maximum voltage what i can use with the dimmer switch.

So, when i set it to maximum with the remote i can use the slider in the homecenter. from 0 to 100% - thats perfect.

If i press setting 1 (slow) the voltage is low for the dimmer switch, and makes it useless.

But that doesnt matter at all, i will automate it all. And get some nice smart buttons for the toilets :)

Did i already thank you for your advice?  Thanks sjakie!

Your very welcome.

Perhaps an idea for toilet if you have pir and door sensor?

door breached and pir safe toilet=occupied >>> light on & fan speedX on

door breached and pir breached toilet=free >>> light out and after x min fan out

works great

Yeah something like that, or just a small zwave button that activates 15mins fan / 70%.

Not sure yet what to do, got a lot off stuff going on.

Been working on this the last 2 days (together with the guy who is absolutely the best in climate and environment stuff and coding great things for this forum) you might guess who :) )

It needs some work, like another sensor for the bathroom. And those scene select buttons for the toilets (or some other smart scene).

I like this stuff :)
