Power Management': 'Voltage drop/drift' - why?

wdeeken

Question

Hi,

I have a new installation with several LED spots and some Dimmer 2. Because the spots are <5W each I also have some Bypass2. One circuit with 4 LEDs is working fine, the second one with 8 LEDs seems fine during auto-calibration, but switches off afterwards shortly after switching on with the message 'Power Management': 'Voltage drop/drift'.

Is it relevant where the bypass is located in the circuit? Due to my cabling I just installed it with the last lamp.

Or will it work with an installation near the Fibaro Dimmer?

Or does the message lead to some other problem, maybe a defective dimmer?

Thx and regards

Wolfgang

  • Hi,

thx for your feedback! During further testing I found out that the neutral line has not been connected properly to the switch box with the dimmer, after fixing this the problem was gone. Anyway interesting that the other dimmer (same neutral line) was running fine without it ^^.

    So, problem solved :).

I have my bypasses located next to the Dimmer2, and haven't ever seen your issue. Try moving yours from the end of the chain to next to the Dimmer2, that could well be your problem
