Walli Double Switch in 2 Way-Switch configuration - Associations

MartinGER

Question

Hello Guys,

I hope you can help me maybe.

There is an Issue with the association, I dont get this fully running:

The manual is saying:

  1. Install 1st Walli Switch in box with load wires.
  2. Install 2nd Walli Switch in the second box (without the load)
  3. Add devices to the Home Center.
  4. Set association in 2nd Walli Switch to 1st Walli Switch in 2nd and 4th association group:
    • Go to the device settings of 2nd Walli Switch by clicking the wrench icon,
    • Go to Advanced tab, find Associations section and click Setting Association button,
    • Find 2nd Association Group in Endpoint 0 and click it,
    • Find 4th Association Group in Endpoint 0 and click it,
    • Find 1st Walli Switch on the list and check it in the S column,
    • Save.
  5. Repeat the previous step to set association in 1st Walli Switch to 2nd Walli Switch in 2nd and 4th association group.
  6. Group 1st Walli Switch (1st channel) with 2nd Walli Switch (1st channel) :
    • Go to the device settings of 1st Walli Switch (1st channel) by clicking the wrench icon,
    • Go to Advanced tab,
    • In Device grouping section click 2nd Walli Switch (1st channel),
    • Save.
  7. Repeat the previous step to group 1st Walli Switch (2nd channel) with 2nd Walli Switch (2nd channel).

Problem is I did manag that the 2nd Walli Switch correctly controlling  the 1st Walli (with Load) -

> So Walli2 Button1 switches Button1 on Walli2, Wall2 Button2 switches Button2 Walli2 - Thats fine - I have attached picture with which settings I got this working

> But I doesn't manage it the other way (This is just to light up the correct button to see which light is switched on, because walli2 has no load)

> If I press on Wall1 Button1 > Walli2 Button1 light up

> If I press on Wall1 Button2 > Walli2 Button 1 light up

It not possible to configure it the correct way..

By the way is it possible to group devices in HC3?? Doesn't findissue any way..

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

@MartinGER

Hi, I haven't tried the same configuration with the walli switches.

But the grouping feature for hc3 and hc3l is there.

Try the following:

add device > other device > all > linked devices > choose the kind of device you want to group > in this case choose switches > choose your switches from the list > select master device > setup the parameters

  • I'm maybe too silly.. but It's not possible to group a walli switch and dimmer.. the switch is selectable but not the dimmer, there are no walli dimmers selectable..

Does anyone have the same issue?

  • Does no one know how to group a switch and dimmer?

The issue is that if the Dimmer is activated over the HC3 (Manual, Szene etc) the Switch is not reflecting that the Dimmer is on.

I would think that 2-way configurations are very common..

    Thanks and regards

If the Dimmer is activated over the HC3 (Manual, Scene, etc), you have to sync the status by some scene (if dim1 on/off, then sw1 on/off, etc.), no other way...
