Add "Fan Speed" to cooling thermostat quickapp

Mohamed Refaat

Question

Hi,

I am trying to add Fanspeed option to the cooling thermostat quickapp.

The quickapp natively has "thermostat modes" and "set point". Anyone succedded to add new property to this kind of quickapps? any clue is appreciated.

Regards.

Just add interface "thermostatFanMode", it will add handling setThermostatFanMode which handles two args: (mode (string), off (bool) action and properties:

property name="supportedThermostatFanModes" type="array"
property name="supportsThermostatFanOff" type="bool
property name="thermostatFanMode" type="string"
property name="thermostatFanOff" type="bool"

Thanks for the tip, I tried and searched a lot, managed to add the interface but am failing to add properties to that interface, I cannot find the right syntax. If you would plz give a full example. I am using HC3.

Ok, I understand now. The interface is added with its embedded properties as you have listed. Thankyou for the help.
My question is different now, where can such full documentation be found? regarding different interfaces and its properties? I really feel that documentation is very lacking and poor. Little guidance will be benfecial. Thankyou once again.
