I have several Fibaro FGFS-101 ZW3 Flood Sensors connected to a SmartThings hub. In order to save on battery, these flood sensors will usually show that they are "off-line” on the SmartThings iPhone app. If they detect moisture, or are physically moved, (they have a tip sensor.) they “wake up” and will communicate with the SmartThings hub in just a couple of seconds.
Here's my problem, I have one FGFS-101 ZW3 Flood Sensor that never goes off-line. It WILL reliably communicate a water leak (I test this with a damp washcloth) to my SmartThings hub. However, it depletes the battery more rapidly than my other identical, Fibaro flood sensors. I suspect this is due to the fact that it is not going to sleep. What can I do with this particular flood sensor so it behaves like the other ones? I would like it to go to sleep to conserve battery power when it doesn't have anything to report.
Suggestions are welcome.
