HC3 constatly crashing into recovery after max 24 hours. Then Error while writing ZigBee dump file.

Question

Posted

Dear,

I have HC3 that is constanly crashing into recovery mode after max 24h. This is the second unit becouse first I thought that might be a hardware issue. I feel abandoned by fibaro support . I have placed several tickets - last 2.08.2023 no one have eaven reply.

Firstly the HC3 was going into recovery mode after max 24h. Then first attempt of reapair was succesfull, then HC3 was unresponsible in next 24h. Only way to bring it back to life was factory reset and recover form backup. But now It is possible becouse unit is giving the "Error while writing ZigBee dump file" each time I try to recover form backup.

I'm really disappoited about that. When having lot of fibaro devices, NO ONE IS INTERESTED in solving this issue.

I think you should call Fibaro support (you are Polish, so wouldn't be a problem with the language) and leave it with one ticket for one issue.

What firmware are you running and which Z-wave version?

Is it a new installation or has it been running fine until the issue?

How many hardware devices are you running on the HC3?

Do you also have Zigbee devices in your setup?

Does your setup runs longer than 24h with just factory reset?

    Hi Eddy,

the isntallation is since hc2,hc3 is 2 years, this year started serius poblems (after one year of more so good setup)

z wave wersion is 2.0 and firmware is 5.1.40.

    hardware divices are 80-90

    No zigbee devices.

At the moent factory reset dont work becouse system is not resoring backup. But before is was 24 h -> recovery mode -> rapair -> 24r -> bricked -> facroty reset -> restore bacukup and then from begenning

I have called fibaro multiple times today they assign resource for help but at the moement fibaro support bricked the hc3 once again and I had to do factory reset.

I think a factory reset should work, I meant without restoring a backup and see if it runs longer than 24h. Just wondering if it is a hardware issue or more like a software issue (device, quickapp, maybe combination with firmware etc). Hope Fibaro support can figure it out for you.

    Dear Eddy,

Acually the  factory reset and backup restoring used to work. Now now way after restoring "Error while writing ZigBee dump file" and HC3 goes into recovery.
