Defining new categories and new roles in HC3

I was trying to define new categories/roles but couldn’t find how to do it. Does anyone know if it is possible and how to do it if so?

What section are you trying for? Users, devices, rooms??....

Try to expand it more.

I was wondering the same thing. I would like a category for the entire house so I can include things like the solar inverters and the main air-conditioning unit. As the house has a ducted system, I have zones in the different rooms and would like to have the main system in a whole house.

Well, those are three (or at least two - users - maybe not) examples of where the functionality could be offered. Do any of those examples have the capability? Not that I can see in UI or swagger. Device category was very easy to add in HC2....not seeing it in the HC3...at least on the 3.0 engine...same for rooms, but I think it was like that on HC2 also.
