Question

Hi!

There are now two mobile apps available "Yubii Home Center" (old) and "Yubii home" (new). This is confusing for new users since it's not clear what exactly is the difference between them... Is the new one going to replace the old one, if so when?

I have installed the new app to test it out and it does look and feel nicer in general than the old one. However there are a few limitations that makes me still keep the old version installed:

- in the old app all devices have information of last change. This information is only visible on some devices in new app.

- in the old version the favorite device groups have more information displayed... Compare old 'all blinds' and 'all lights' for example... In the old version all blinds exact position and cover can be set, in the new one only open/closed is available. Similar for lights only on/off is available, in the old version lights level was also available.

Hello,

I tried to enter new "Yubii home" but it appears that not device was found.

Yubii Home center app is working fine.

Is there any modification I should do to get access with new app?

Many thanks for your help.

Do you use the same credentials (username/password) in both apps?

    Hi,

The main difference between the apps regarding compatibility is that Yubii Home (new app) supports only new generation gateways. By that I am referring to Home Center 3 and Yubii Home - if your system is based on Home Center Lite or Home Center 2 then you will have to go with Yubii Home Center app (old one).

Regarding features you have better performance, a simplified gateway startup process: installer mode or owner mode, a helpful device inclusion wizard, and scenarios that can be created directly from the app.

The two aspects that you mention are on the roadmap for the new app, although they are not priorities. Still, I agree that these were useful features and would like to see them back as well :)
