Bevare - HCL, serious z-wave issues.

Question

Guest shapa

Just to let everyone know - HCL has some very weird stability issues in 3.590 at least, I'm forced to reboot it every day (multiple times) in last 4 days.

Z-wave stack just stopping to work.

Mostly, all other functions - also.

There are only 25 devices.

Opening a critical case with figaro, will see how long does it take.

I'm willing to agree. I have restarted my hcl 6 times now since 4 weeks of owning. Above this I have issues with

- sunset/sunrise times that are not at all corresponding to my location

- Scenes get set with pin protection (stoping them to trigger)

Support claims hardware issue and wants me to send in the box...

Hello, i have the same issue, i cant log to the box i need to restart sevreal time per day , i have send a mail to [email protected]. If it could help here there answer :

    Dear Sir,

If you see only power led it means that HCL is loosing network connection. Please change network ethernet cable and port in your router switch and check again.

    Regards,

  • They found hardware (!) issue in my case - memory failure.

Quality control issues, first batch? Good idea to wait for a while before purchasing.

Or it is simply the same as always with everything else. Some stuff just fails for no other reason than it is normal. No reason at all to wait.

  • UrSv,

Except the moment that there are two reports about (identical?) HW failure in this thread already.

"Support claims hardware issue and wants me to send in the box..."

    Memory again?

  • My wife sent it today from the UK, should be delivered in a few days.

I'm hoping I'm not going to disassemble all my vitrum switches to reset & re-pair again.

Today I accessed my HCL through home.fibaro from work. When I got home I noticed that HCL had been down since I accessed it from work. So I suspect remote access through fibaro does something nasty to the server. I'm going to setup a direct connection through my router to see if that keeps the HCL stable...
