HCLite and heating panel

Lauri

Question

Hello,

is it possible to make such heating system

HClite + 3 door/window sensors.

If windows are opened, then HClite turns heating off.

With HC2 I can make LUA to react on this, but how to make same thing with HCLite?

I do this on an HC2 using Php on an external server. Since HCL doesn't (officially) support LUA, you need to run the script elsewhere. But the heating panel isn't worth anything on the HC2 anyway, so if you want proper heating control there you need to do something similar anyway, especially if you want advanced scheduling as you don't have access to the HC2 mysql server - even though it is there.

I run a Raspberry pi server. You can set up one of those for less than 50€ and mine consumes only 3 W despite it functioning as my server for controlling both tablet interfaces and the hc2 external scripts along with acting as a logging server and as an airplay client for ny stereo. So it is very cheap to run... But it does ofcause require some programming skills.
