Are you sure camera streams in MJPG and the url is proper? Try changing password on the camera, so it will does not have special signs, like "@".

  • Do you mean the option "Display camera image at Your House, advanced options:"?

I have tried both MLPG and JPG

I have also changed the password and removed the '@' nothing happened

The snapshot is working. I am receiving an Email when i press the snapshot button

  • Thank you it worked

I should have used an URL to activate the MPGJ

But I am suffering from huge delays (like 4 seconds) although I am connecting to it locally

Smartelite, you can try turning down quality of an image send, or decrease fps rate. You can also check in other media players to ensure it is not fault of browser (e.g. VLC media player can play live streams). But some camera just have bigger delay and it is normal for them.

    Hi Guys

I seem to struggle with the same problem. Trying to install FI9826W on HCL

Foscam is setup correctly and functioning, can access remotely via IP address as well.(port forward) but not locally through IP address need to use Foscam Client shortcut then it works.

    See attached screenshots.

I can however not see in the Foscam settings of the video is streaming MJPG.

When I enter the IP address 10.0.0.6:88(Foscam IP) (same IP in HCL) in a browser it goes directly to the log on page of Foscam. I can however not access the video stream from here. I've noticed Google Chrome has blocked all non Chrome extentions as from June 2014. Tried Internet Explorer as well. Same problem.

I've copied the cgi commands from forum and have completed username and password.

Must the IP camera IP entered in HCL directly go to video stream or is the log on page correct?

    Any ideas?

Stephan Smit, on 3rd image you can clearly see that this camera streams in h.264, please look for way of changing it to mjpg or contact manufaturer of this device. What are possible options for the 1st setting in 1st picture?

Make sure you installed the latest firmware:

Please login or register to see this link.

    This I posted before:

Foscam FI9821W V2 (PTZ, Firmware version (system): 1.4.1.5):

    JPG URL: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=USER&pwd=PASSWORD

    MJPG stream URL: cgi-bin/CGIStream.cgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr=USER&pwd=PASSWORD

    Turning left URL: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveLeft&usr=USER&pwd=PASSWORD

    Turning right URL: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveRight&usr=USER&pwd=PASSWORD

    Turning up URL: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveUp&usr=USER&pwd=PASSWORD

    Turning down URL: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveDown&usr=USER&pwd=PASSWORD

    Stop movement URL: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzStopRun&usr=USER&pwd=PASSWORD

(Change 'USER' and 'PASSWORD' with your camera login data)

EDIT 19-01-2014: When a firmware is updated the GetMJStream command may fail. You have to 'setup' the MJStream function first by using this URL command in your webbrowser:

Please login or register to see this code.

Maybe this can be useful for ya?

I have a FI9821P Foscam as well, but I can't get it working even though Iv tried the steps above.

I use a HomeCenter Lite and have installed both Foscam plugins I could find (Foscam Fi8904w and Foscam Generic)

My url codes are set to:

    JPG: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=cooladmin&pwd=cool1234

    MJPG: cgi-bin/CGIStream.cgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr=cooladmin&pwd=cool1234

    Turn Left URL: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveLeft&usr=cooladmin&pwd=cool1234

    Turn Right URL: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveRight&usr=cooladmin&pwd=cool1234

    Move Up URL: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveUp&usr=cooladmin&pwd=cool1234

    Move Down URL: cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzMoveDown&usr=cooladmin&pwd=cool1234

    Stop Camera Movement URL:cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=ptzStopRun&usr=cooladmin&pwd=cool1234

I also made sure that the Camera Configurations is set to display my camera image to MJPG

I see no picture at all in my setup (All though I can login to the camera through the manual IP and check that the camera works perfectly)

    Hopefully someone can help me!

Same with Foscam 9816P, not working with advised URL's. When I use the jpg url in a browser it works, the mjpeg url does not work in a browser.
