Fibaro MotionSensor => GoPro as Webcam?

Flite

Question

Hi there,

I use a HCL with some Fibaro-Sensors / SmokeDetectors and Danfoss LC-13 Thermostats in a remote holiday home, connecting for controlling it via VPN or Portforwarding (unfortunately no http"S" at HCL)

Do you think I could connect a GoPro (with WiFi) somehow to the Fibaro Motion Sensor to start recording?

Edit: Or, better, a Sony HDR-AS100VB?

If the device has a web api to allow for control over http then it should be quite easy to set the HCL up to send the correct command for the motion sensor to trigger them. You just create a virtual device with a button which fires the command to the GoPro API and then a scene which push the VD-button when motion is sensed. Then after i.e. 30 minutes with no motion, the scene pushes another VD-button which sends a stop command to the camera.

I know there is an API for the GoPro cameras.
