Danfoss TRV

Liquidchild

Question

Hi

Does anyone here the danfoss valves? What is your view on them? I am keen to integrate my heating into Fibaro and it seems the two options are danfoss or Stella z? It appears the biggest issue with the danfoss is the lack of temperature feedback for the room. Can't this easily be overcome with a fibaro sensor? Granted it's an extra cost!

Ps I have looked at the Stella, but they don't appear the most aesthetically pleasing!

We use many living connect thermostats with fibaro. If you buy, buy new LC-13 versions, they work better and batteries last longer. Forget abut stella, it is noisy, ugly and doesnt work with fibaro correctly yet.

With living connect you have a lack of temperature information, this is true but anyway it is better to measure temperature away from radiator and using fibaro FGMS or FGK sensors.

I can quote you new living connect thermostats if needed.

Hi Liquidchild

I am using them and they are quite reliable with 3.591. They tend to go to panic mode but keep working. The upshot of that is the batteries only last about 6 months. My system uses universal sensors inside wired PIRs with temperature sensors connected to them. Try a read of this and see what you think.

Mine are the old type.

Lauri you beat me to it.

Same here, I'm on 3.591 and the TRV just works the way it should. I get at least 12 months of battery life out of them with a wake-up interval of 10 minutes and 5 setpoint adjustments each day. I'm quite sure you could set them to 5 minutes and still get a heating season of battery life out of them, for me that would be acceptable.
