P1 Meter cable and RFXCom

tcviper

Question

Hello everyone,

The person or team that can get a P1 meter cable (Energy/Gas) USB working with Fibaro HC2 and an RFXCOM to control somfy blinds Im willing to offer a donation. There are lots of people in the Netherlands but also in other countries looking forward to these 2 solutions and Im really hoping this will be possible either by Fibaro or the community.

Maybe the Fibaro team could also say anything about this?

Thank you!

  • I dont want to use another device like Domoticz or external hardware, Im basically waiting for Fibaro to open up the USB ports so it can be integrated directly

  • Hopefully with the release of Plugins for Fibaro this should be possible, would love to see both P1 meter cable support, RFXCOM and Eneco Toon Thermostat integration

    Same Here

why is it that Fibaro is lacking support for this

we all bought a expensive system and they are just nog giving us any support or possibility to do this via USB and a plug in

this week a friend of mine asked me what to buy

sorry fibaro but i told him not to buy fibaro because off the lack of support or updates etc etc etc

i am stil using Domoticz to read my energy meter and solar panels and to use my RFXCom

Fibaro get your things together and fix this or a HC2 will be for sale soon

@webster: why do you demand P1 support on HC2? P1 doesn't have anything to do with domotica or zwave. Just buy a P1-LAN convertor like de Plugwise Smile and HC2 can read the values:

@samuelboerhoop: today you don't need a webserver, see Hekkers blog for a direct HC2-Smile connection.

  • What do all these solutions have to do with complete power/gas measurement in Fibaro HC2?
They simply create a virtual device with current totals and so on.

A real integration would mean the HC2 would save energy and gas data/usage so people can see history, usage and graphs and so on

Domoticz for example can read stuff from P1 (or LAN P1 meter) and then output all this data into the system to be used for day to day, month, year etc graphs and stuff.
