HCL No Remote Access anymore

Question

Hi,

since yesterday I have no remote access to my HCL box anymore. Locally everything works and I have a home.fibaro.com account (where the settings icon is aslo greyed out). I set a static IP and 8.8.8.8 as DNS in the HCL.

Two days ago it worked fine but now not anymore. I have the latest Fibaro HCL firmware and my location is Germany.

Hi,

I have the same problem since yesterday, same location: Germany.

No access to HCL from different internet IP addresses.

I can login to home.fibaro.com, there I can see my HCL. When I click on the HCL icon nothing happens. The Android app also doesn't work

The same problem for me. I have been using HCL only for 3 weeks now but since the very begining I have problems with remote access. Sometimes it works sometimes (more often) it doesn't. Locally it works fine all the time.

  • Wow looks like Fibaro is having big issues with the remote service...

    What alternatives do we have to the Fibaro Boxes?? Is Zipato better?

    I would suggest to use static external IP address and port forwarding for backup solutions when there is trouble with fibaro service.

    With zipato whole service depends on zipato servers so if no internet connection - no home automation at all.

  • How do you set up the static ip address for the Fibaro? There is no dynamic dns service for the Fibaro Box right? I can do the port forwarding for the static fibaro IP in the my network but how do I get the static ip to connect to my network from the outside?

    You need to ask this from your service provider. I have static external IP to my house and Hc2 has forwarwed out also - so every time I can go directly to my controller and most of the times I dont use fibaro servers.

    I have the same problem in 2 HC2. The other 2 HC2 and HCL I have no problems. I think we must first check your internet connection, if the problem persists, contact support Fibaro. All have a static IP.

    yep! remote access is broken. fibaro is down....

    this has been working for me about 1 year now, but since yesterday is it down. reboot/reconfiguration does not work. it works great with port forward and local. but not remote via fibaro.

    come on fibaro! fix your servers NOW!

    Fibaro please, have arrived several reports of a black-out of remote access. Please if there is someone from the technical service, reboot the server, or solve the problem !!! Thank You!
