Question

Some IR devices to share! Maybe if you guys have some why not add them to this thread?

They take a while to create so would be nice to share!

Optoma HD50 Remote Control

I am basing this on the assumption that most IR for a device of the same make/model are generally the same aswell

Users can use iLearn software to read the IR code and apply it as well, am I right?

I have just used a iTach Wifi2IR and it's working perfectly for all devices.

Kudos to you Dean!

    Hi All,

Have posted this in another thread,but...

I have Daikin A/C codes working fine with HC2/iTach (Not Flex, but I dont think it matters for these purposes)

Lots of people have issues with Daikin codes.

The issue/problem is iLearn. It cant cope with long codes

You need to gather them manually by telnet to the iTach device direct.

Quite happy with my simple scene that turns my heat pump on at 05:45 if the Living room ambient (read from Aeon Labs Multisensor) is below 16C, and turns it off again on weekdays at 08:00

Hey It would be great if you could share the IR codes. Also which Daikin AC are you using?

Even with a telnet connection I can't get the iTach to accept the newer Daikin codes used with the Emura I & II e.g. but it can be done easier anyway.

I used an arduino with the IRRemote library modified to accept longer codes (the newer Daikin codes are 583 cycles long split into 4 parts with 25455 and 35512 usec spaces between them).

I have pretty much decoded the protocol and I'm able to generate new codes on the fly successfully. The code is quite messy and far from complete but I'll clean it up and maybe port it to arduino-C which could be the basis for a simple http-to-daikinIR gateway.

The codes are quite complex as every code includes all settings, including time and timers, so there no way of sending "just" a command like "on" or "set to 24C". Each code also has three checksums.
