Philips Hue with HCL

Clodo

Question

I read a lot of topics about that, based on LUA scripts, but i have a Home Center Lite.

I want only to turn on a Hue bulb based on motion sensor. I absolutely need to buy a HC2? Thanks.

Although the existence of a hue plugin suggests that you can contol HUE with an HCL, you can't. Fibaro does not do anything to solve it either so you only have a very clumsy additional manual HUE "remote control" ... i wouldn't buy a HC2. There are far more versatile and less expensive Z-wave servers on the market like Veraedge, Veralite or a smartthings hub. Or you could wait a few more weeks and buy a Homekit compatible HUE bridge and change to that tech. Fibaro makes very cool "design stuff" with a lot of promisses but financially and technologically you are better of with something else. I fell into the same pit unfortunately
