Nest opentherm of horstmann

tonnyb

Question

Dear members , I have a question as starter in home automation. I would like to replace my thermostat , it must then be added into my Homecenter2 . I'am not sure what model tot go for? The Nest V3 is a beautiful device , there is only a plugin, and don't not know what the device limitations are in combination with HC2?? A Horstmann is a Z-wave product which probably works seamlessly with the HC2 but not a very slick look compare tot the Nest. I have not figur out whitsone to go for?

Tips anyone?? experience?

Thanks in advance ?

Hi TonnyB,

I don't have experience with either of these thermostats, but about your post: I think it is best to use English, so everyone can understand.

Kind Regards,

Remco

The nest is a nice device for the looks. Integration with hc2 is good, but you need to do some work before you can control the nest in scenes. The horstmann just works, and works beautifully in scenes. The looks of the device are euh.. not a positive point
