Door sensors are usually battery-operated device.

What is the wake-up interval of the device?

Is there any z-wave device on hard-wired power nearby?

I used to have similar issue with door and window sensors losing connectivity when I first introduced them to existing setup. What I did was to locate nearby hard-wired power device and perform 'mesh network reconfiguration' (one-by-one and wait for response) to allow the mesh-network to properly relearn and build up the mesh around battery-operated devices such as door and window sensors.

I have not encounter door or window sensor losing connectivity for several months now.
