Question

Hello,

Is it possible to display a ip camera on a tv screen? Ideally I'd like to auto switch to a camera but not sure how I'd get the feed to display on tv?

Thanks again

Chris

Hi,

If the TV is a smart one and has a browser you might be able to use that to display the stream.

I have noticed that the browsers on some smart TV's are cut-down versions of the popular browsers and wont display the stream like you can on a PC

Hi,

I would suggest to invest to NVR, even if you have smart TV. With that, you can record your cameras and see all camera at once, becouse NVRs have HDMI of VGA Output, so you do not need to connect to them with browser in TV. It's very easy to use. But also web browser in TV is cheaper (free). One of premium

we use with Control4.

another option to a dedicated NVR could be a NAS

I have the Synology DS415Play and it has a surveillence station built in.

I have 4 camera feeds recording 24x7 and also use it to store my movies, music, etc...
