Fan regulator - 0-10V with z-wave

Bezan

Question

Hi,

I`m wondering if it is possible to control fan speed with Fibaro system.

Fan is: TD-160/100 ECOWATT

Producer offers it manual regulator: REB ECOWATT

Fan installation schema is:

So we connect 230V to fan and it also has: ground, +10V, 0-10V  to control speed.

I have found Qubino FLUSH DIMMER 0-10V. It has 0-10V output so this one is OK. But input it requires 12V and fan is giving only 10V.

Will it be OK to buy small, separate 12V supply to connect Qubino, do not use fan`s +10V and ground, next connect Qubino 0-10V output to fan 0-10V input? Of course 230V to power fan.

Thanks for any informations.

in principle you have to use separate 12V supply for Qubino, then to connect GND and 0-10V output from Qubino to the GND and 0-10v input of the fan.

EDIT: and yes, you have to configure Qubino manually as there are no templates, but it will work with 4.100 and higher

  • tinman, thank you very much for so fast response.

Right now I have 4.100, so should it be auto recognized ?

    Regarding connection schema.

Is my "professional" painting attached what you suggest? :)

    schematic is ok.

regards 4.100, as is said, there are no templates in Fibaro for Qubino, but there are no issues to get it running, simply follow the qubino user manual and add all necessary parameters manually.

  • If someone is building similar solution - above schema (suggested by tinman) is working. Just connected all and can control fan speed via HC2.
