Reading label of virtual device button

Question

Posted

Hi

I'd like to read the label of a button in a virtual device. The reason for this is that I want to use the button label as a parameter in my button code...this will enable use of generic code.

Please advice.

Something like this?

Please login or register to see this code.

If you don't need the name/label you have  access to '_elementID_' which is the buttonID without having to look anything up...

    Hi

can read the label and change the label.

Once I change the label, the VD still shows the old value until I refresh it.

Any way on can refresh the VD to reflect the correct label automatically ?

There is no way to automatically refresh either browser page or mobile application after changing captions on virtual devices at least not with simple solution. After change you still have to click on reload page button on browser or go to mobile app settings and tap button Refresh network data to see such changes. I suggest to use label content as a parameter in code instead of button caption because of this "feature" of HC2.
