Incoming Purchase Of HC2

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just recently moved house and left a boat load of LightwaveRF (gen 1) kit in my old house. I have been looking round for a month or two but think that Fibaro is the way forward for my new place.

Going to start with the HC2 and then do a room at a time.

The first room is that master bedroom bathroom where I plan some RGBW LED strip and motion detection so the lights come on automatically.

Can't wait to get going. Anybody know of the best place in the UK to purchase from.

Many thanks.

For me I would happily recommend Vesternet. The team there have helped me do a whole house project using HC2 at the core of it. Their support has been brilliant and they have helped talk me through many of the configurations. If you need an intro then PM me. [I am not in any way connected to Vesternet by the way]

    Thanks for the replies,

I have looked at their website and they seem to have all the kit and the knowledge.

    Hi All,

I have installed a Implant to the rear of our cattery (block 1 to 5) and run in a temp sensor to each cat pen along the run. I am getting good accurate readings from each sensor which is great. The run for the sensor wire is only about 10m so shouldn't be a problem. I have linked each cat pen to a smart plug (TBK Home) so when the temperature in each pen changes it can bring the plug on which has a heat lamp plugged into it.

I have set up the plugs to turn on if the temp drops below 12 degrees and then set up another one to turn the plug off when it reaches 18 degrees. I am hoping that this will bring down our energy bill as we only bought the place last year and up to now the heat lamps have just been on all night.

I am not sure if I have this lot set up correctly though as I had a look today and pen 1 was still on but the temp was showing 19.4 degrees? I turned the plug off manually but was wondering if there is some way of making the temp sensors report back more often.

Please excuse me here as this is the 1st Fibaro system that I have owned and other then a couple of relays and RGBW drivers I have not really had anything working properly.

I am using the magic scene system as I am new to this so maybe it is that where I am going wrong.

    Thanks
