Remotec ZXT-120 for ac units

MariusM

Question

Hello!

Can someone tell me how to connect more than one AC unit through my Remotec ZXT-120? I can't figure out how to integrate my second unit. They're from different brands, AUX and Samsung.

It is one Remotec ZXT-120 per AC unit.  The only way one Remotec can control more then one AC is when you have multiple identical AC units, and the Remotec has line of sight to all of them.

Thank you so much. I was afraid of that.

is it working with fibaro ? I am not sure

Remotec ZXT-120 works well with Fibaro HC2. At least for one of my AUX AC units. For a Samsung unit I couldn't find any IR codes and I can't figure out how to use the learning IR codes option.

I'm using two devices (in different rooms of course) for two different Samsung ACs. Working flawlessly.

But you used only one code in parameter 27 I guess

Of course. I have only one AC in each room.

It cannot work with multiple codes... as I know.

Maybe you have to use iTach decive (Eth to IR).

  • I finally managed to get my samsung ac unit work but what bothers me is that i can't use the learn IR option.

I think I'll use itach for tv control and other IR controlled appliances. For ACs I'll stick to Remotec.

guys should the remotec have just one device shown in the app which can control mode, temp, on/off?  At the moment the only way I can do it is by using two separate IDs. One does Heat /Cool and temp. The other does Mode, heat/cool/on/off etc. How do I show these in one?
