Popp Z Weather tested now in several weeks

Alex Rob

Question

I want to share my experience about this Product.

I gladly recived it but i can not say that this is a quite good product. I tested it now for several weeks and there is a lack of some functions and not quite working right as the producer in Germany promising.

U can not adjust the interval of waking up device and sending wind warinings / If there is a night with a lot of wind the device is sending during all night until battery is drained. When u get a warning after each 5 hours or longer.

The light sensor is only showing up to 100 % or 100 Lux / i see on the old Fibaro app is there standing 100 % but in the new one and in HC2 100 lux.

U can not adjust either probaply the wake up for sunrise and sunset. they write in thier manual something about default 37 % because of street light but not any suggestions what happens if u choose 15 % what is this affecting? time of sending wakeup? sensibillity ?

In any cases i just checked the light sensor functions and this is not waking up sending commands when the sun went down and its getting dark or light. The lux sensor is several hours late by sending lights on or off command.

In the end i just can conclud that this sensor is only good for using humidity readings, dew point, wind speed and temperature onlye when the sun is not shining directly on this device.

I hope fibaro will make a weather station in the future powered by solar and wind this could be a good combination so if there is wind or sun the device get charged.
