Running Fibaro software on Raspberry

pooh

Question

i'm really tired of HCL and HC2 hanging or randomly stopping running scenes for heating...

did anyone try to run Fibaro software out of a PC or raspberry?

i can see it tries to download RSA key while booting - this should be transferrable from your HCL or HC2...

anyone has any experience with it?

I heard someone had the software running on a VPS which sounded like a great idea as you can then increase the hardware as needed. I don't have any information about it though, if i recall correctly they said the zwave antenna was hard coded to a COM port which took a bit of fiddling to get working

Your problems are probably due to a malfunctioning Zwave device or an incorrectly written scene.
Check your scenes and see if there is code for devices that are no longer in the system.

If a device is not properly included, it causes lots of network traffic that interferes with your HC2.
Also check the memory diagnostics if the memory increases with time. It may be due to an incorrectly written scene.

no. my problems are due to the fact that fibaro knows NOTHING about software development and testing it in particular.

my scene looks like this:  if ONESWITCH turns on OR SECONDSWITCH turns on then BOILERSWITCH = turnON

is that badly written scene? on 4.520 it works well (up to the point where HCL hangs as it's a piece of *abuse* with one core). on anything above 4.520 it doesn't work AT ALL - not even right after restart.

is anyone testing BASIC things when releasing new versions? NO. i'm here since their switches had serial no. in 3000-4000 range and i remember recall on HC2 serial no. 1-150. this is the worst software development i've seen in my life and i do software development for living...
