Alarm message etc. in the event of a smoke message

Hello to the firefighters from you!

I need your expertise!
If a smoke detector responds, it makes sense to switch on the light in the entire house
(Subject of escape route)?
Does it still make sense to raise the shutters and open the garage door (the garage is not free-standing in the house)?
I would have answered yes to everything but I am an electrician and not a fire specialist.

At this point, a THANK YOU to all the men and women of the fire brigade for your commitment, I hope I only need your help with such questions.

Greetings from Germany / Sauerland
Frank

Great question Frank. I am interested in the answers, there should be fire specialists around here.

I do know how the handle with fire on the engine of a car (not to open the hood), so I am wondering if you indeed should open doors etc. Also I have had some false alarms and if nobody is at home and de doors open ...

Let’s hear the specialists.

I"m not a fire fighter at all.

But I would not be happy if rollershutters blocking the only escape way for my family, or preventing a quick entry for the fire fighters.

So I added the rollershutters also to a Fibaro Red "panic" Button, or opening on fire alam.

The key for an exit door are in a fixed spot, This key may NOT leave there. I don't want to look for the key in a panic situation. I don,t have a garage door.

    Hello everybody

Well there doesn't seem to be an answer from a firefighter and only Dutch and Germans seem to be interested.
I'll do it by turning on the lights and up the blinds.
I'll leave the garage door closed, that seems to me the most logical.
Oh yes, some wrote that smoke alarms give false reports too often, but I can't say that to either the Fibaros, Devolo or FireAngel, who only report if there is something to report (luck with the selection).

I think that's the best decision.

    Hopefuly we never need it.
