Trigger Scene with Steinel IS-140

Hi All,

i am using a Steinel IS-140 motion sensor my Fibaro HC2.

Right now the sensor works like a regular (not smart) sensor.

At the point the lux is 200 or below it turns on the lights at my front door and in the HC2 I can see that there was a motion.

That means for me, when I try to trigger a scene it only works since the lux value is below 200.

I plan to trigger the recording of my ip cam by movement but all day regardless the lux value.

Unfortunately I didn't find a solution yet.

The Steinel support linked me to their manual and approved that it has to work.

What I understand in the manual is that I can set an association for Group 3 and a BASIC SET is send to the linked device.

So i connected a Wall-Plug to Group 3 but nothing happens regardless if the lux value is greater or smaller 200.

Maybe somebody in the community can help me to find a solution.

If this doesn't work I already thought about a workaround.

it has to be possible to deactivate to turn on the lights by the motions sensor, so if I set the threshold for the lux value on max (2000), the HC2 should detect movements all day without turning on any light.

Next step I am able to write a lue which turns on lights when movement is detected and lux is below 200.

But which Parameter has to be set not to turn on the lights.

Here is a link to the manual:

Thanks for your support since i can't find a solution by myself

If you do something like this in lua or block scene it should work.

movement>yes= start cam

no movement for 5 min > stop cam

This has nothing to do with your lux setting

  • Hi Sjakie,

    thanks for your reply.

I just checked my Event Panel and only movements detected are at the evening when the lux value went under 200.

So I assume the sensor is configured only to change status when lux is under 200.

I can configure the sensor that it is running all day by setting the lux threshold = 2000 but this would result in turning on my light at the front door by every movement during the day.

So if I want to go that way I need the right parameter to avoid tuning on the light by movement.

    do you have any idea?

    Thanks

    Aleks

As far as I can recall I did't set any parameter or association, I could use both Lux and motion independant of each other.

  • Hi Sjakie,

die only parameters I configured are:

Parameter 1 = 180 (keep light on for 180 seconds)

Parameter 2 = 200 (Lux Threshold -> tunr light on when value is 200 or below)

Parameter 8 = 0 (don't know why but found this setting once I installed the module).

By this setting I only get motion detection when the lux value is 200 or below.

When I change this parameter to 2000 I get motion detection all day - but this leads automatically to turn on my light what i don't want during the day (this is not I scene since the steinel is installed to work without any Gateway).

Do you have any idea what else  I can try?

    Thanks

    ALeks

I did't use lux setting parameter.

Lux parameter is in my case in LUA

I gues that is why you have this combined.

As mentioned before try this in lua or block scene

    movement>yes= start cam

no movement for 5 min > stop cam

    movement >yes and lux < 200 > yes=Light on

    Succes
