How to properly set up IOS device for SIRI usage - SOLUTION

If anyone by chance had some difficulties with setting up IOS devices for using SIRI commands, here is a description. As probably anyone can know from Fibaro manuals, that SIRI coomands can be used only through Shortcuts / (it is an application in IOS systems, so download it first)

Initially we had problems with shortcuts, becuase not all of Fibaro scenes used to show up in available / selectable scene's list for certain shortcuts, and we were not able to determine, why some scenes are not showed up and some scenes are.

Today i finally got the answer, so i wanna share with you what is the trick behind it, as it is not described in any Fibaro manuals.

1. So first of all, create a shortcut in IOS device. (in the Shortcut application)

2. Select Home center app from the list of avilable applications (after pressing the + button for creating a new shortcut)

3. Select the scene from the list that you want to be run by SIRI voice commands.

 

And here is the trick..If the scene is not visible, that you are looking for, it is because only the FAVORITE scenes will be available..So head back to your Favorite panel, and make the desired scene as Favorit, then you will be able to see it, and select it for a Shortcut.

From that point on, you will be able to use a SIRI voice command, to activate your scene.

 

I hope this will be helpful for other users, becuase to be honest, we couldn't find this answer nearly one year...

Its probably a stupid question, but where and how can I define a scene as a favorite? Tried it on my HC3 web panel and could not find how to to it.

Just go to the YUBII app, favorire settings..Then go ti Scenes tab, and click on the star beside the scene you want make favorit.

No Mather what I try I keep getting ‘sorry I couldn’t run your scene’

anyone any idea why? The shortcut is in favorites in Yubii and works fine there

Well, if you set up everything as I recommended, and it still doesn't work, it can be some issue that support should look at, or maybe some accessibility issue..idk, i would go for a support ticket

Hello, it didn't work. I created two new scenes in HC3 and made them Favourite in Yubii. But the new scenes didn't appear in the list of available scenes in the Shortcut app (only the old ones).  A restart of both apps didn't help.

It is working. Several customers are using it at this moment. I am not a fan of IOS systems, so i rather can assist with google, but as for now, it is working. I dont know, how much time does it take to synchronize the two systems. Maybe scene is not accessable for the user you trying to access it with. I dont know.
