Remotec ZXT-800 - Fibaro HC 2

Honestly, I have really tried my best - but getting nowhere.

 

So, I have a Remotec ZXT 800 together with an HC2.

What do I want to achieve – to use the AV setting to control my electric curtains.

Using the ZXT 800 AV IR learning function

Let’s say Vol+ = Open

Let’s say Vol- = Close

Let’s say Mute = Stop

 

I have added the ZXT800 to HC2 and it is showing in the system.

But it is not configured - this is where I am stuck.

Configuaration boxes to fill in are –

Number,

Data Type (option 1d, 2d, 4d)

Desired value

Read only – check box

Default Value.

 

Should be easy – but not for me.

Any help would be so much appreciated.

Hi Clive,

I think it doesn’t show AV interface yet on HC2, right? We are still working with Fibaro to release support for AV function, it shall be available after 1 month.

Once it is available, you will be able to see 3 channel AV device after add it to Fibaro. And then you can learn your curtain remote into ZXT-800 by configuration.

I will post any info I get from Remotec.

Hopefully it will be resolved as the unit could be very useful for "infra red" and Z wave integration.

An update from Remotec

Fibaro will release for next version which plan in mid of Dec as they said. Let's wait. You can also use our Conexum App for ZXT-800 to try out learning with your curtain remote.

I received a message from my colleague this morning with information that for now, we have no full support for this device on Home Center 2. 

 Unfortunately, I do not have any information about if and when the full support will be implemented.

Following that message I purchased a Remotec ZXT600

I am glad to say that the ZXT600 works.

My electric curtains now controlled by HC2
