Single Relay I2 input has large delay?

I want to use the I2 input with a second switch to control a different device. Enabling I2 as either binary input or motion sensor works and I get events (HomeAssistant) when I2 changes state, but, delayed after 4-5 seconds. I searched the forums and the web and it seems this is a known thing? Is there any way to get it be instant, perhaps some undocumented config or firmware update? I haven't tried too hard with associations and perhaps that's a solution?

Please ignore/delete, mixed up the modules!
