WallMote Quad by Aeotec crash

BennyVanilla

Question

Hi everyone, I have maybe stupid and simple problem but well configured wallmote just slipped down a few times from the mounting platelet and stop responding. When connected it is working but when I disconnect it from usb supply power it goes off totally. By the way these small magnets are very very weak, if you mount it on the wall then one accidental move and it lands down on the floor. Anyway - is this the end of a device? No rescue? Maybe something inside is disconnected? Anybody help or advice? Thanks in advance

Hi @BennyVanilla ,

since Aeotec WallMote Quad is powered by rechargeable Lithium battery, most probably battery lost connection. When charger is connected what LEDs show? I do not have one to be able to say if it is possible to open it to reach battery inside.

Yes, it is possible to open the Wallmote, Behind the mounting plate there are 5 small screws. Uncrewing them will open the Wallmote (see pic.)
