Hello and help request - creating library of functions

Hello everyone.  I'm new to the forums but a long time geek and software developer.  I'm trying to figure out how I can create a library of frequently used functions that I can call from scenes.  I found the Quick App stuff, though I'm hoping for something simpler.  Where do I start?

I find the content quite complete, you just need to be familiar with how QA works (functions, variables, syntax), QuickApp supported protocols, APIs that HC3 supports (see in swagger).

There are commands to trigger Scene from Quickapp and vice versa, depending on your app.

You can find the commands that the device supports in the QuickApp section as shown below
