The Geo localization in HC2 option

Question

Sort question.

When can we expected the Geo localization option in HC2?

It would be nice if your alarm automatically turns off when you near your house, detected by GEO localization in HC2 (and turn on your heater when needed).

And the alarm is automatically enabled, and lights go off when you removed (so many meters) of your home. (detected true the Geo localization).

This would be great

Would this be possible and when?

    Hi,

like on a lot of Web domotic site, they agree that the HC2 is the strongest box and have a good future on the level of features, possibilities ...

Fibaro knows that, promise/announce a lot of features that:

    - some are fully there,

    - partially there

    - partially there but doesn't work as it should or are not useful

they have a lot to do ... and a lot of people are waiting ... and hopping they will not fail to deliver because the competition will not wait and also a lot of customers prefer a working box than a promised box ...

Geo location is implemented in new Fibaro HC2 iOS app, which should be released in a couple of days in AppStore (it's in review now). The app sends user location to HC2 (go to Panels -> Access Control Panel and then click some username, then you can configure geo location checking time interval by changing the "Shall Fibaro track the user" option). The results of getting user's geo location are available in the Family section (bottom-left menu on the main screen).

Now we are working on scenes that use geo location (for example - just as you wrote - turn on something when I'm near my house). It should be released next week. Maybe - if we decide to put more things into next update - one week later.

    Dear All,

This is to confirm that I have successfully tested the gps localization with an iPad.

-> you need to define the associated user in HC2

-> and install the app in your iPad

    Works fine for me !
