Fibaro roller shutter controller + VERA2 gateway issues

Hello,

I am having trouble with re-associating two of my three fibaro shutter micro-module on my z-wave micasaverde VERA 2 controller.

The modules have worked before, but not all at the same time. In that previous configuration I had two shutters working and one that would not register. As I couldn't find any way to connect every single one to the network I had setup, I ended up deciding resetting everything.

After that I successfully added one new fibaro shutter micro-modules, but had no luck re-adding the other two.

I've tried:

  • Using the mios web interface, placing the controller in remove association mode, nothing happens. Same thing in add device mode.
  • resetting the module, but I'm not sure how to check if it's done (it's a bi-stable switch, one button up, one button down), in the 5 second period after connecting power pressed UP followed by DOWN. After that tried re-adding, with no luck.
  • Also tried two suggestions from fibaro support to either power on the device with the button pressed or pressing the button in the first 5 seconds after powering on the device.

Final note: the iVera interface app (for the iPhone) has a strange behaviour, different from the mios.com system: the latter works makes the one controller connected roll up or down just fine, but the iPhone app just cranks up the roller engine.

So basically this is really messed up. I'm really out of ideas and would be thankful for any input.

UI4 or UI5? UI5 is a bit messed up... If UI4, try removing multiple nodes with full power.

Hi, thanks for the input. Though I now have UI5, this issue was still happening while I had UI4 installed, so I don't think it's contributing for these issues.

    Cheers

edit: and I did try to remove the nodes with UI4 using full power.

Does anyone have any suggestion on this?

I basically bought expensive bricks, given these fibaro controllers won't reset.

This is what the manual states:

    2. Resetting the Roller Shutter Controller

The Roller Shutter Controller provides two methods for resetting.

Method I : Reset by removing the Roller Shutter Controller from the

existing Z-Wave network. The device may be removed using the

controller that has the ability to include/exclude devices from/to

Z-Wave network (see the manual of controller).

Method II : Within 5 sec. after connecting mains voltage supply, the

Roller Shutter Controller allows the user to reset settings by pressing

once S1 key and then holding key S2.

I've tried method 1 dozens of times and method 2 is not applicable (bi-stable switch). Also tried pressing B within 5 seconds after connecting main voltage supply.
