Question about full concept "Fibaro System"

I am interested in a possible implementation of a complete concept.

1. Lighting - use Fibaro modules

2. Blinds - use Fibaro modules

3. Intercom - ??? what devices can use for this section??? Support SIP ?

4. Gate - use Fibaro modules (for example, Relay Switch 3kW)

5. Climate - What thermostat devices support(compatible) HC2? Any Euro Z-Wave? Can I manage split-systems?

6. Equipment - what does it mind ?

7. Camera - Any IP-camera.

8. Multimedia - How can I integration my multimedia system for manage with HC2???

9. Alarm - Configuring sensors or other detect devices for some events?

10. Sensors - I understanding for this use sensors. What sensor devices support HC2? Any Euro Z-Wave?

11. Watering - what devices use for implementation this function? Use basic Fibaro switch modules?

Hi and good topic!

1. Lighting - use Fibaro modules - yes very easy to install and use

2. Blinds - use Fibaro modules -same!

3. Intercom - ??? what devices can use for this section??? Support SIP ? - fibaro guys will add more here but as far as ia know you can us most of intercom solutions and then use fibaro to control the bell and door open actions. these are built in to relay switches. What i did is i added external IP camera as intercom camera and then you can connect bell button to relay switch to nitify you of guests

4. Gate - use Fibaro modules (for example, Relay Switch 3kW) yes but also keep as much as possible original automation!

5. Climate - What thermostat devices support(compatible) HC2? Any Euro Z-Wave? Can I manage split-systems? currently horstmann should be used mostly, im testing couple other things and will let you know of the results but best should be horstmann

6. Equipment - what does it mind ?-toasters and etc but that depends a lot on the device itself. eg turn on water heater at 08.00

7. Camera - Any IP-camera. pretty much yes, i managed to add usb camera also...

8. Multimedia - How can I integration my multimedia system for manage with HC2??? - this is little raw currently but IR controller should be available soon then you can control pretty much everything! there is virtual device support but that is not that comfortable yet

9. Alarm - Configuring sensors or other detect devices for some events? this is possible but for security i recommend to use a dedicated device that you can integrate with fibaro.

10. Sensors - I understanding for this use sensors. What sensor devices support HC2? Any Euro Z-Wave? - i have tested aeonlabs, everspring and they work ok-water sensor, door window sensor, and 3-in1 motion sensor

11. Watering - what devices use for implementation this function? Use basic Fibaro switch modules? use that + electornic water valve to open close water flow-i have similar system

currently yes, the device must be switchable on/off w outlet. therewill be an universal module which can be used to control more precisely but its currently in todo list

is see that it uses IR to send commands so probably this is possible in near future hopefully.

it should not differ much from controlling audio BUT probably you can do simple things such turn on/off

switch to heating/cooling

increase/decrease temp but you will not get feedback as the device itself is not zwave compatible

Yes, i know about one way control, but I would accept such a method (not get feedback).

Could you recomend some IR transmitter with Euro Z-wave support for this

this is currently under development and i would recommend to wait for wa while and not buy IR control device yet. as it will be announced here then add this to your system!

I recommend Global Cache boxes. You can send commands over LAN or WLAN using virtual devices. We use it to control our projector. I wouldn't wait for dedicated z-wave IR transmitter...

It could be probably (needs checking because I'm not sure if authentication can be bypassed) controlled using VirtualDevice from HC2.

Also, is there any dev going on for IR integration? may be a list with preconfigured virtual devices (think of remotes for some TV's or the VU+ or Dreambox... those should be easily adressable for you guys?)

For IR integration, use Global cache iTach. Easy to learn IR commands and use them in virtual devices.

I have a Daikin split and the global cache itach felx solution, but the global cache can´t learn the IR commands and the solution doesn´t work. Tried several IR commands but still nothing!

Any ideas??

I've started decoding the Daikin protocol used by the newer units (Remote ver ARC466A1) with some important help from Chris who works with AnalysIR and so far I have made significant progress! The process is a bit time consuming but a very fun puzzle to solve

With a few more hours of work I should be able to generate proper codes "from scratch" which makes the home automation process a lot more dynamic. When the protocol is decoded the next step is to encode codes and get the modulation correct to make the transmissions reliable. I've had some success here but this part needs to be improved.
