Hey,

I have bought the UNIVERSAL BINARY SENSOR and woundering what kind of power supply i can use for it. I tried to connect a mobile phone charger that deliver 12V and 1Amp, but the small circuit got really hot and burned a hole in my carpet when i tested it. The i connected a small 12V batteri to it = it worked fine and didn´t get all that hot. But i dont what to use batterysupply, i want permanet power.

So my question is, what kind of power supply can i use? Do you have a weblink to a product that you could recomend?

Hi,

Supply voltage : 9-30V DC ±10%

Be careful not AC power supply

+ on red conductor

- on blue GND conductor

if you reverse the polarity, it will heat and smoke!

have you checked the polarity and voltage with a multimeter ?

if he smoked the module may be dead

I have a similar problem with my binary sensor and my multimeter shows 11.6V DC, but the sensor is still not working. I use a bell-transformator (12VAC) and a bridge rectifier to get the 12VDC for my power supply.

If i use a mobile phone charger then the sensor works. In this case my multimeter shows 16VDC.
