Virtual module : Make an GET HTTP request to a domaine.

elmips

Question

Hi all,

i would like to avec a "send mail to" function for my scene.

HC2 in 1.0.36 do not have it yet.

So, why not using a virtual module to connect to an HTTP mail API to send the mail ?

Well, i tryed to setup a virtual module to connect to "http://www.pushingbox.com" services (a very usefull push service, including mail).

it's very easy, just have to send a GET request to "api.pushingbox.com/pushingbox" with a "devid=xxxxxxxxxxxxxx" command to use the pushingbox profil you want.

But it seems that you can not use the virutal device with a domaine name... (see screenshot)

i tryed to make it work with pushingbox direct ip adresse, but the service is unavalable this way.

To Fibrao's team, will you open the virtual device to domaine name resolution ?

it's could be ussefull to connect the HC2 to external services.

Absolutely agree!

+1 for this functionality from me also!

It looks like the HC2 is just setting a max length of the string that can be set in the "IP Address" field....
